NL National Lifeguard Course Winter 2020
8 Slots Available
The National Lifeguard award builds on the skills, knowledge and values that the Lifesaving Society teaches in its pre-Bronze and Bronze (Cross/Medallion) awards to develop the practical skills and knowledge required by lifeguards. Recognized as the standard measure of lifeguard performance in Canada, the NL course is designed to develop the physical standards and skills of a lifeguard, as well as the understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgment, and a mature and responsible attitude toward the role of the lifeguard. This course concludes with a final scenario-based exam, in which candidates are evaluated on their abilities to effectively use the knowledge and skills gained throughout the course.
